About Us

We are two professionals who arguably should be diverting funds to superannuation but instead choose to indulge our travel passion.

We began our travelling lives together in 2001.

We are keen photographers and whilst not serious “foodies” we certainly know how to avail ourselves of local food and wine opportunities.

Our favourite country is France but we have enjoyed wonderful trips to other European countries including Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Having family members living in Canada and the USA over the years has given us the opportunity to see some amazing parts of these countries and (Covid vaccine willing) we are not finished yet.

We have also been fortunate enough to often combine business with pleasure. One of our most memorable trips involved Russell speaking at a conference in Sri Lanka – a vibrant and culturally rich location, where we were treated almost like visiting royalty!

2020 update – Well, what a year 2020 has been for all of us! Covid has changed the world and travel forever.

The combination of Covid and a cancer diagnosis this year has caused us to re evaluate some life choices and we have made the decision to purchase our first motorhome or ‘RV.’ We have never been caravan or camper owners before so look forward to potential mishaps and mayhem whilst we learn the ropes! 🤣

Travel is addictive, maybe even genetic because I think I have passed it on?  It can be stressful, but thankfully those times are few and the flip side is that the opportunities to learn, discover and live life are around every corner. We think St. Augustine said it best..

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”

We hope you may enjoy reading a page or two of our future adventures,

Russell and Victoria

  1. Hi Victoria, I am enjoying your travel journal with visuals, having to be stationary myself. Thank you for your lovely writing, which in my mind is worthy of wider publication.

    • Thank you Beatrice, coming from you that means a lot 🙂 The quality is directly linked to the time available to write 🙂
