Hello readers… firstly a heads up… There is going to be horsey stuff, food stuff, French stuff, wedding stuff and other miscellaneous stuff coming from redandrusty for the next five weeks….. Read on at your peril and don’t say you weren’t warned !
This trip has been a year in the planning and whilst it will encompass Sam and Bonnie’s wedding (which I obviously didn’t initiate) it was partly born from my facebook posting in 2014 and various comments from friends re “how lucky we were” and “wish we were there too…”
My reply, luck hasn’t much to do with it… Sell a kidney, rob a bank, prioritise your spending and join us in 2015! And of course it’s not that simple for everyone, but as a result, five intrepid riders are joining Russell and I for what we hope will be a fantastic ride in the Dordogne next week and the rest of the trip has grown around that.
So, I write this on the plane having just departed Dubai along with our first travelling companions, Rosey and Sharon, en route to glorious Paris!
The weather channel has promised us great weather – at least for our arrival day- but any weather in Paris will be fine.
