Waking to enough blue sky to keep us happy, Tuesday morning we drove down to our local beach at Budleigh Salterton.

The River Otter reaches the sea here and provides a popular spot for artists, serious walkers (as part of the coastal path) and those of us just enjoying the sunshine with a coffee or ice cream.

Russell managed to find a few little treasures in “Richard's Menswear” – the British 'do' menswear so much better than in Australia – and then we motored on to spend the day in Exeter.

Exeter is situated on the River Exe and is a sizeable town with an impressive cathedral and even more impressive shopping ๐Ÿ˜‰

We had lunch at the Quay and then wandered around the commercial district (with a few purchases) until our parking expired and we headed home.

At 11pm we were back in Exeter to greet Sam and Bonnie off the train and welcome Bonnie to England for the first time.

Sam delivered his surprise early birthday gift to Bonnie by informing her that she was jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet at 2pm the next day!

The rest of us slept well ๐Ÿ˜‰ and the next afternoon saw us delivering Bonnie to the Dunkeswell airfield some 40 minutes away.

It was an extremely well run outfit and luckily Bonnie was in the first group to jump. We were able to catch the van to the drop zone to see her land and a great time was had by all (especially Bonnie!) and we then headed off to find the quintessential English village pub to celebrate.

Rachel at the airfield had recommended the Drewe's Arms at the nearby village of Broadhembury and it certainly fit the bill.

After a stroll down the 'main street' and checking out the lovely church, we settled into the charming pub to help Bonnie experience her first British ale .

Tomorrow, it's our turn…… back on the ponies ๐Ÿ™‚
